Manik Grill Guard Installation

This is a fairly straight forward installation requiring common hand tools and some muscle. I used a Socket Wrench and T55 Torx Socket. You will also need a 1/2" Socket and open end box wrench.

I first started with unpacking my grill guard purchased from Quadratec to make sure all parts etc... were included. After finding everything and skimming the instructions, I bolted the guard/bumper mounts to the main grill guard with the supplied bolts and nuts making sure to use the proper washers in thier place. Don't tighten these bolts until later, leave them loose as you will need to make adjustements to the guard after putting into place on the bumper.

Second, remove the 4 T55 bolts on top of the factory bumper..If you have tow hooks the bolts mount through the hooks. Then remove the 4 T55 bolts underneath the bumper.

Third, place the guard on the bumper and hand thread the 8 bolts back into the frame. Using a ruler make sure the guard is centered and then tighten the guard/bumper mounts to the guard. Use the ruler again and make sure the guard is still centered and tighten the 8 bolts to the bumper. I found that there was plenty of room to install the factory tow hooks over the Guard/Bumper mounts and did so using the factory bolts. Tighten to spec and you are finished.

Over all I am very pleased with the look of the Manik Grill Gaurd, I have not tested the function of strength but from the looks and feel of it I think it will do its job should the need arise.
